Features: 2A06 aluminum alloy is high-strength duralumin, the pressure processing performance and machinability are the same as 2A12, and the plasticity is still good in the annealed and just quenched state. 2A06 aluminum alloy can be quenched and aged. The general corrosion stability is the same as that of 2A12. When heated to 150-250°C, the tendency to form intergranular corrosion is smaller than that of 2A12. The spot welding performance is the same as that of 2A12 and 2A16. The formability is better in the hot state, annealed and new quenched state, and the strengthening effect of heat treatment is remarkable, but the heat treatment process is strict. The corrosion resistance is poor, but it can be effectively protected by covering it with pure aluminum; it is easy to produce cracks during welding, but it can be welded or riveted by special processes.
